Loose Lips
-
Having a vulva, regardless of one's identity, inevitably comes with baggage. Loose Lips, acknowledges experiences that are beyond cis and heteronormative values that unravel the true realities of having a vulva. We want to understand why many may feel uncomfortable having conversations or sharing stories about gynecological anatomy and pleasure. Our goal is to challenge feeling comfortable talking about the uncomfortable.

A bed sheet is the visual motif for our cover because we expect the zine to be read in a safe and comfortable space. Our staple-bound structure reveals what’s between the legs, with a climactic center spread. Page furniture is pushed towards the center gutter to emulate the center spread throughout the zine. In the back, a mirror is included, alongside steps that outline an approach to acknowledging your genitalia.
